Role Overview:

Highly skilled and experienced Drupal Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will be responsible for providing expert-level guidance, support, and solutions for the Drupal platform (Acquia). This role requires a deep understanding of Drupal architecture, best practices, and development techniques to effectively deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the go-to person for Drupal-related technical guidance and expertise, providing recommendations and solutions to the team and clients.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications using Drupal best practices.
3. Conduct technical assessments of existing Drupal websites and recommend improvements, enhancements, or optimizations.
4. Lead and participate in the design and development of Drupal websites, modules, themes, and custom features, maintaining highest coding standards and best practices.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Drupal, identifying root causes and implementing timely resolutions.
6. Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to technical and non-technical team members on Drupal development and best practices.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest Drupal updates, trends, and emerging technologies, and recommend their adoption to improve overall system performance and security.
8. Collaborate with the project management team to define project timelines, estimates, and technical requirements.
9. Act as a mentor to junior Drupal developers, guiding them on best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience working as a Drupal developer or technical SME, with a strong understanding of Drupal 8/9/10 architecture and development principles.
2. Extensive knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other related web technologies.
3. Expertise in Drupal site building, module development, theme customization, and configuration management.
4. In-depth understanding of Drupal theming and front-end development, including Twig, Sass, responsive design, and accessibility.
5. Familiarity with Drupal contributed modules and ability to evaluate and recommend the best modules for specific project requirements.
6. Experience with Drupal performance optimization and caching strategies.
7. Solid experience with version control systems, such as Git, and continuous integration workflows.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in Drupal projects.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
10. Drupal certification (e.g., Acquia Certified Developer) is a plus.
