Drupal Lead Developer Job Description
The Drupal Lead Developer is responsible for elevating our digital and web strategy to provide a compelling, personalized web experience for plan sponsors, advisors, plan participants, and individuals with retail choices. This role requires strong collaboration and communication skills with the web master, project managers, UX/UI teams, and business strategy teams.
Duties / Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain the Drupal CMS and Acquia environment for marketing websites.
- Build new features, components, and modules based on business needs.
- Install and maintain new code bases, multi-site configurations, and Lift personalization sections.
- Gather requirements for new pages and determine the best components to serve content and enhance user experience.
- Assist in the development of non-Drupal, custom software applications.
- Participate in requirement gathering, daily standups, and retrospective meetings.
- Lead the offshore team and work towards a managed services model.
- Generate and report Service Level metrics.
Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Drupal 8/9 development.
- 2-3 years of experience with complex enterprise or multisite Drupal implementations.
- 2-3 years of experience working with Acquia Cloud, Composer, and Drush.
- Acquia Grand Master certification is a significant plus.
- Extensive PHP and object-oriented development experience.
- 2-3 years of frontend skills (Angular, HTML, CSS, JS, React.js, Node.js).
- Knowledge of Database Architecture (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience writing custom modules for Drupal 8 and integrating with external APIs.
- Familiarity with Drupal 8/9 configuration management, including config-split.
- Proficiency with command line interface, Git, and GitLab.
- Ability to develop, review, and test custom Drupal modules and themes.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
