Responsibilities:

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of Drug GM specials and recommend items to ensure customer needs are met.
• Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and notifying management of accidents or safety risks.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Support a cooperative work environment, manage conflicts professionally, and act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve issues.
• Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
