Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Position Summary:

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of Drug GM specials and recommend items to ensure they get what they want and need.
• Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs.
• Report customer or employee accidents, safety risks, and illegal activities such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment, managing conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Support and assist with interactions involving minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Salary Range: $19.25 - $25.35
