Job summary

Merck’s Future Talent Program offers a 4–6 month co-op in our Research and Development division, with hands-on projects in drug discovery. Locations include Rahway, NJ; Boston, MA; West Point, PA; South San Francisco, CA.

Selected candidates will work on molecular modeling or cheminformatics, learning to apply data and models to hypothesis-driven research and gain exposure to drug discovery processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/BA or Master’s/Ph.D. degree in related field with interest in drug discovery/research.
• Strong background in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, informatics, CS, or applied math.
• Currently enrolled and continuing education for at least 1 semester after program ends.

Responsibilities

• Participate in molecular modeling and/or cheminformatics research within a drug discovery team.
• Learn to apply data, models and methods to drive hypothesis-driven drug discovery.
