Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking an Associate Scientist to support solid form characterization and particle analyses for drug candidates. The role emphasizes crystallization and polymorph screening, with collaboration across Medicinal Chemistry and Formulation teams.

The work is based in Groton, CT (USA) with typical Monday–Friday hours and potential overtime based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors with 2+ years experience or MS in pharma science or chemistry.
• Strong experience with solid state characterization techniques.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct solid state characterization of small molecules relevant to pharma.
• Support crystallization, polymorph, salt, and co-crystal screening per project timelines.
• Perform API particle characterization and related physical/surface analyses.
• Collaborate with Medicinal Chemistry and Formulation teams on screening strategies.
• Maintain accurate entries in the electronic lab notebook.
