Job Title: Drug Court Case Manager (46144) at WestCare

Position Summary: The person in this position will collaborate with a counselor to provide services to clients diagnosed with substance use disorder. Essential functions include assessing resource needs, coordinating with court and community agencies, providing advocacy, monitoring treatment progress, and maintaining documentation in compliance with confidentiality laws.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assess resource needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with probation, legal, and court teams.
  • Research insurance and healthcare benefits, make referrals, and assist clients in accessing services.
  • Motivate clients to participate in treatment using engagement techniques and monitor their progress.
  • Provide advocacy and education to clients and their families.
  • Participate in team meetings, court calls, and document services timely and accurately.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal standards.
  • Support community reintegration and monitor clients' transition into recovery homes.
  • Communicate client progress to court and team, and report significant changes promptly.
  • Attend required training, including clinical skills and cross-training, and embody WestCare’s mission and values.

Certifications/Licenses: Must hold a clinical certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) from IAODAPCA or obtain within two years of employment. Continuing education and supervision hours are required for licensure.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred; high school diploma with experience acceptable.

Experience & Competencies: Knowledge of offender populations, criminal justice system, and substance abuse assessment tools; bilingual preferred; highly organized with excellent communication skills; ability to pass background and drug screening; maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.

Working Conditions: Primarily office-based and court setting, with some outdoor activities. Must meet physical and mental demands with or without accommodations.

Physical & Mental Demands: Mobility, communication, vision, and hearing requirements; ability to work under stress and in emotionally charged environments.
