Job summary

Chimes is seeking an Outpatient Therapist in Bethlehem, PA to provide diagnostic assessments and individual and group psychotherapy for clients in a substance use treatment program.

The role includes developing treatment plans, delivering crisis intervention when necessary, and maintaining thorough documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a clinical discipline.
• Licensure as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred.
• Pennsylvania Act 33 & 34 Clearances, FBI Fingerprinting, Medicaid/Medicare exclusions verified.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for clients seeking substance use treatment.
• Provide outpatient individual and group therapy for substance use disorders.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Deliver crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries).
• Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to support clients.

Pay Rate: $30+/hour (billable rate)
Schedule: Monday through Friday (flexible scheduling)

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for newly admitted clients
• Provide outpatient therapy for individuals with substance use disorders
• Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans and recovery goals
• Provide individual and group therapy based on clinical needs
• Deliver crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services as necessary
• Apply evidence-based practices to support clients with mental health conditions and related challenges
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries)
• Collaborate with internal teams, external providers, and client support systems
• Maintain compliance with licensure requirements and ongoing training standards

What We're Looking For

• Education: Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (e.g., Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychology)
• Licensure: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (preferred)
• MUST HAVE:
  • Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and therapeutic interventions
  • Experience working in substance use treatment settings, with an understanding of addiction, recovery principles, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Clearances:
  • Pennsylvania Act 33 & 34 Clearances
  • FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
  • Verification of no exclusions from Medicaid/Medicare

Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
