Job summary

Holcomb-Behavioral-Health-Systems in Bethlehem, PA is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide diagnostic assessments and individual and group psychotherapy for clients in a substance use treatment program. The role involves developing treatment plans, delivering therapy, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a clinical discipline and licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred).

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (e.g., Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychology).
  • Licensure: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Experience in substance use treatment settings and evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for newly admitted clients.
  • Provide outpatient therapy for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans and recovery goals.
  • Provide individual and group therapy based on clinical needs.
  • Deliver crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services as necessary.
  • Apply evidence-based practices to support clients with mental health conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers, and client support systems.

$30+/hour (billable rate)

What You'll Do

  • Maintain compliance with licensure requirements and ongoing training standards

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (e.g., Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychology)
  • Licensure: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT ( preferred)
  • MUST HAVE:
    • Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and therapeutic interventions
    • Experience working in substance use treatment settings, with an understanding of addiction, recovery principles, and evidence-based interventions.
    • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Clearances:
    • Pennsylvania Act 33 & 34 Clearances
    • FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
    • Verification of no exclusions from Medicaid/Medicare

Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
