Job summary

Fernley Pioneers, LLC is seeking a casino porter to clean and maintain public areas, restrooms and outdoor spaces, following all policies. Assist with Jackpot payouts as needed.

The position requires mobility in a smoky casino environment, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Nevada Gaming Registration is required and adherence to safety procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• Familiar with proper cleaning procedures and handling cleaning/sanitation chemicals.
• Must be able to accurately complete paperwork related to Jackpot payouts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper supplies for the shift (garbage bags, gloves, chemicals, supplies).
• Follow daily assignment sheet and cleaning schedule.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain public restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and empty trash and ash bins on the casino floor.
• Wipe down slot machines, chairs, and surfaces to remove dust and fingerprints.
• Clean and maintain outdoor casino areas (parking lot, doors, windows).
• Clean mirrors, glass, and furniture.
• Monitor and maintain equipment used by porters.
• Follow management instructions and safety policies, including chemical storage and signage.

Drop porters clean and maintain public areas of the property following all departmental policies and procedures. Assists with Jackpot payouts as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Familiar with proper cleaning procedures, and comfortable with usage of various chemicals used in cleaning and sanitation.
• Must be able to accurately complete paperwork related to Jackpot pay outs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensures that the proper supplies are present for shift (garbage bags, gloves, chemicals, supplies).
• Proceeds to assigned area and follows daily assignment sheet.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain public restrooms according to posted schedule.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, empty ash trays and trash cans as needed throughout the casino floor.
• Wipe down all slot machines and chairs, ensuring they are free from dust, ash, fingerprints, and spills.
• lean and maintain outside areas of the casino including (but not limited to) parking lot, outside trash, doors, and windows.
• Clean mirrors, glass, and furniture.
• Monitor and maintain all equipment that is used by the porters.
• Follow detailed instructions delivered by casino management.
• Observe safety policies and procedures including but not limited to safe lifting, proper chemical storage, and usage, posting correct signage/cones in freshly mopped areas.
• Ensure that public restrooms are stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask.
• Able to work independently while keeping to cleaning schedule.
• Assist with Jackpot pay outs as needed.

Work Environment/ADA Requirements:

• Must have the ability to frequently lift to fifty (50) pounds, and seventy-five (75) pounds occasionally.
• Must have the mobility to easily move about the casino area and be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to reach, grasp, bend, squat, and push/pull equipment.
• Must be comfortable working in a noisy, smoky casino environment.

• Nevada Gaming Registration
