Job summary

Chittenden Solid Waste District in South Burlington, VT is hiring for a customer service-oriented staff member to operate at busy Drop-Off Centers. You will greet the public, handle transactions with a point-of-sale system, and assist with recycling and waste diversion initiatives.

The schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday from 7:45am to 3:45pm, with training provided. Must enjoy outdoor work, remain calm under pressure, and contribute to a positive team environment while delivering excellent

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale system (training provided).

Responsibilities

CSWD is seeking a highly motivated individual to work at various busy Drop-Off Centers. Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday from 7:45am-3:45pm. Must enjoy interacting with the public, have the ability to operate a point-of-sale system (training provided) and be able to keep cool under pressure. Moderate physical effort is required as is the ability to work outdoors. Customer service experience a plus.Self-starters and those with a passion for reducing waste, recycling, and composting, are strongly encouraged to apply.$22.18 per hour with an excellent benefits package.
