Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Drop and Count Attendant to accurately count and reconcile daily cash receipts in the count room, ensuring compliance with Title 31 and internal controls. You will perform the drop and count process, document verification, currency bundling, and totals reconciliation while maintaining detailed records for the Finance Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six months cash handling experience.
• Experience in casino, cage, or hospitality operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately counts and records daily cash receipts from various revenue venues.
• Performs drop and count process including documentation verification, currency bundling, and reconciliation.
• Maintains compliance with Title 31, MICS/TICS, and internal control protocols.
• Maintains records and reports in the cage and count room division of the Finance Department.
• Coordinates with other departments regarding changes impacting the drop/pull process and machine access.

General Definition: The Drop and Count Attendant is responsible for the count of monies and tickets in the count room and the reconciliation of the counts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.Essential Job Functions:Performs duties as assigned to Drop and Count Team OperationsAccurately counts and records daily cash receipts from various revenue producing venue.Conducts all aspects of the drop and count process, including documentation verification, currency bundling, and reconciliation of totals, along with other related duties as assigned.Maintain and observe compliance with Title 31, MICS/TICS, and internal control protocols; performs periodic audits to ensuring adherence to established standards.Maintains accurate accountability of all funds, ensuring strict adherence to security requirements during transfers, counts, and verifications.Coordinates with other departments or vendors regarding gaming floor changes impacting the drop/pull process, machine access, or related activities.Maintains all records, reports, and other required paperwork in the cage and count room division of the Finance Department.Enters various data, reconciles all totals to the Master Summary.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredA minimum of six (6) months year of cash handling experience, preferably in cage, count, or related casino or hospitality operations.A minimum of one (1) year of casino, cage, count, guest services or hospitality operations experience required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures with accuracy and precision.Ability to work collaboratively with peers, staff, and regulatory agency personnel.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule including weekends, evenings and holidaysMust be able to work in a smoke-filled environmentLicenses/Certifications/Other:Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functionsMust be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative resultTraining:Must be able to pass Title 31TrainingPhysical Requirements:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
