Job summary

Teledyne FLIR in Orem, Utah designs and manufactures drones to carry sensors in demanding environments. This role focuses on developmental testing of UAV platforms, requiring a detail‑oriented, autonomous engineering professional who can work with limited supervision daily in Orem.

You will develop and execute test programs for fielded and developmental drones, collaborate with autonomy developers and program leadership, and translate test flights into actionable design improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and executing UAV flight tests.
• Ability to coordinate airspace procedures and risk assessments.
• Strong attention to detail and self-direction.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and log complex test flights for UAV platforms in early-stage development.
• Conduct pre-flight risk assessments, test card reviews, range safety coordination, and airworthiness validation.
