Job summary

Flyby Robotics is seeking an experienced drone pilot to test and evaluate drones post-production. Your role is to push the units to the limit while maintaining safety and detecting anomalies that affect quality.

You will need FAA Part 107 certification and a history of operating large drones, with a passion for aviation and hardware tinkering. This onsite role requires commuting to the office and endurance for outdoor testing.

Qualifications

The Role:

We're looking to work with an experienced drone pilot to test and evaluate our drones as they come out of the factory. It'll be your responsibility to push our drones to the limit in a safe way, while you have a sharp eye to detect any abnormalities. You excel in tasks that require you to concentrate for long periods of time and maintain situational awareness. This role will directly impact our customers as the final phase of our quality control pipeline.

Core Requirements:

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification and demonstrated prior history of flying commercial drones greater than 10 lbs. MTOW (such as with the DJI Inspire 2 or DJI M350 RTK)
• A love for aviation and drones. You're excited about Flyby's vision.
• An attitude for endurance. You enjoy working in outdoor environments and are comfortable with tasks involving long periods of concentration.
• An intuitive understanding of hardware. You have prior experience as a tinker, such as working with home-built gadgets or AMA model aircraft in the past.
• Live in commuting distance to our office location to pick up equipment for testing.

Other things you should know:

• Your duties may include physical demands such as the ability to crouch, stoop, lean over, and lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a background screen.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $70,000 per year annual salary.
