The role requires FAA Part 107 (or ability to obtain), experience with electromechanical systems, soldering, and strong documentation habits.
Apellix builds semi-autonomous drones that take people out of harm's way. Our aircraft power wash, soft wash, spray paint, apply coatings, and perform NDT inspections at height — work that used to require ropes, scaffolding, and lifts. Our patented flight control software automates precision positioning and standoff control, refined over a decade of use by operators, and our drones are 100% U.S.-made, NDAA-compliant, U.S. Army certified, and deployed in 21 countries. We're a small team doing hands-on work that matters, and we're growing.

As a Drone Technician, you'll work hands-on with Apellix drone platforms (B2, Blue, SPD, and SPD Blue) from initial assembly through real-world deployment. You'll build, test, troubleshoot, and repair the aircraft our customers depend on, working closely with our software, mechanical, and production teams to deliver production-ready systems that perform in demanding environments. This role is critical to making sure every drone that leaves our facility meets a high bar for safety, reliability, and customer confidence.
Technicians who excel here grow into technical authorities on our platforms — owning build standards and test protocols, mentoring newer teammates, and representing Apellix at customer demos, enterprise deployments, and government projects.
