Job summary

SPH Engineering is seeking a hands-on Drone Systems Technician to run our US operations in Texas. You will build and ship systems from our Texas stock, showcase field capabilities through demos, and support customers from onboarding to post-delivery.

You will work with hardware on the bench and in the field, growing with a fast-expanding US office. The role requires flying as pilot and payload operator, assembling and testing magnetometer and sonar systems, and providing training and field

Qualifications

• 1+ years hands-on technical experience in drone, survey, electronics or similar hardware: assembly, testing, field operations or technical support.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Familiarity with enterprise drone and sensor payloads operations.
• Comfortable with hardware assembly, cabling, connectors and basic electronics troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail in assembly, inventory, documentation and shipping.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel up to 30%, including internationally.
• US work authorization and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• US stock and order fulfillment: manage local inventory, assemble and test orders, handle pre-shipment quality checks and export docs, manage RMA intake.
• Demos and field work: prepare and run regular product demos across the Americas, fly as pilot and payload operator, support trade shows and field days.
• Customer support and training: provide technical support via Jira, email and phone, deliver on-site and remote training, develop training materials in English and Spanish.
