Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks a skilled Drone Pilot for Reality Capture and Digital Delivery on data center projects. You will plan, coordinate, and execute safe unmanned flights to capture imagery, LiDAR, and 3D data for BIM/VDC workflows, site documentation, and digital twin initiatives.

The role requires FAA Part 107 knowledge, flight planning experience, and collaboration with project teams across safety, design, and client stakeholders. Hybrid work model available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years operating commercial drones in construction or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of FAA Part 107, flight safety and airspace procedures.
• Experience with photogrammetry, orthomosaics, 3D models and reality-capture workflows.
• Ability to coordinate with VDC, design, and project teams to validate conditions.
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct commercial drone flights per regulations and site safety.
• Maintain pilot credentials, registrations, logs, and pre-flight documentation.
• Perform pre-flight inspections and verify aircraft, batteries, sensors, and data storage.
• Capture high-quality imagery and data for BIM, design, construction, and operations.
• Process data and produce orthomosaic maps, 3D models, point clouds, and reports.
• Publish deliverables to ACC, GIS platforms, or other environments.
• Coordinate with VDC and design teams to compare captured data with BIM models.
• Maintain organized project archives for easy retrieval.
