Job summary

Flight Support Assistant position in Pendleton, Oregon is onsite with a 6‑ to 24‑month duration. The role supports flight testing operations for drone technology, with a pay rate of $34 per hour. You will work closely with the flight team to ensure safety, readiness, and efficient test execution.

Candidates must hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (Required).
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet Amazon driver eligibility requirements
• Strong verbal communication and reporting skills
• Proficiency in using basic computer tools and systems
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, perform repeated movements, and lift/carry items up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving test environment

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with flight team members during crewed field and flight test operations
• Serve as a qualified Visual Observer (VO) during drone flight missions
• Prepare and handle drones and ground equipment as part of the support crew
• Assist with flight readiness checks, equipment staging, and logistics coordination
• Participate in daily crew briefings and mission planning sessions
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized operational environment
• Support routine care and upkeep of test equipment and work areas
• Exhibit self-motivation, accountability, and reliability in a dynamic team setting
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure successful flight test execution
