Job summary

Amazon Prime Air is hiring a Flight Monitor in Baton Rouge, LA to oversee real-time drone flights and ensure safe, compliant operations. You will monitor flights, identify deviations, and coordinate with teams to mitigate risks and document incidents.

The role requires FAA Part 107 certification, strong safety focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Travel up to 25% and shifts may include nights and weekends are noted.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed procedures.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region, utilizing our state-of-the-art monitoring systems.
• Identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.
• Ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
• Coordinate effectively with the relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies. Provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.
• Utilize excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while maintaining a high attention to detail in all tasks.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while working effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Adhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
