Job summary

Amazon's Prime Air team is seeking a Flight Monitor to oversee real-time drone flights, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient operations in the assigned region.

The role involves analyzing flight data, submitting detailed reports, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement rapid risk mitigation and improvements. Requires FAA Part 107 certification, strong attention to safety, and ability to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Can demonstrate strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed procedures.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region, utilizing our state-of-the-art monitoring systems.
• Identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.
• Ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
• Coordinate effectively with the relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies. Provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.
• Utilize excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while maintaining a high attention to detail in all tasks.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while working effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Adhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
