Job summary

Pride Resource Partners is seeking experienced Power Line Field Inspectors to perform overhead infrastructure inspections for transmission and distribution systems in outdoor and remote environments.

You will capture high-resolution imagery, document asset conditions, and coordinate with a drone pilot to deliver comprehensive inspection data while complying with safety and quality standards. This full-time role requires travel across assigned regions and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of overhead electrical utility inspection experience within the past 3 years.
• Strong understanding of overhead electrical systems, including pole-top equipment and hardware.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily within assigned regions.
• Proficient with tablet- or mobile-based inspection software and structured data entry tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and photographic inspections of overhead transmission and distribution assets following prescribed inspection methodologies.
• Identify and document asset conditions requiring maintenance or data correction using standardized inspection tools and software.
• Capture high-quality imagery from the ground or via UAS coordination with a drone pilot and ensure complete structure coverage.
• Prepare and upload inspection data, photographs, and notifications to secure cloud systems with accuracy and timeliness.
• Apply inspection codes and defect classifications in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Conduct safety tailboards and daily safety briefings, and follow SMS protocols.
• Communicate field constraints or environmental sensitivities through reporting channels.
• Engage with property owners and the public to facilitate inspection access and coordination.
• Support quality reviews and corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing refresher training.
• Work in a 2-person team to conduct inspections while adhering to safety policies.
