Responsibilities include inspecting distribution systems for defects, maintaining field records, and coordinating repairs and equipment needs.

Qualifications

• Four years of electrical, power line construction, line equipment operations or field electrical engineering experience and qualified Lineman Journeyman.
• Or: 48 months of validated line construction work experience and a minimum score of 80% on the District Lineman Journeyman test.
• Or: Eight years' experience with electric line construction including operating electric line trucks, buckets trucks and auxiliary equipment.
• Must be able to perform duties of Electric Powerline Inspector as described in duties.

Responsibilities

• Validate current data and performance of Construction Inspection of the Pole Replacement Program.
• Review Pole Reinforcement and Pole Attachment Projects in the District.
• Validate GIS data for Transmission Lines and oversee field installations.
• Inspect underground and overhead distribution systems for defects and hazards.
• Maintain records, write reports, and coordinate with supervisor on field issues.
• Prepare work service notes for repairs or replacement and notify dispatcher for major repairs.
• May open and close switches as directed; perform other duties as assigned.
