Job summary

Skydio, Inc. in San Mateo, California, is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns to help prototype, validate, and refine the electrical systems for autonomous flight sensors.

As a member of the Electrical Engineering team, you will assist with PCB design, hardware bring‑up, and cross‑functional testing while learning from world‑class engineers and contributing to cutting‑edge drone technology.

Qualifications

• Pursuing EE degree or related field.
• Fundamentals of electrical engineering.
• Experience with lab tools (oscilloscope, signal generators).
• Familiar with Python or C programming.
• Some exposure to power/analog electronics and digital interfaces.
• Previous internship on electronic products preferred.
• Familiar with Cadence Allegro or similar tools.
• Ability to prototype and demonstrate circuits.
• Ability to work autonomously and quickly learn.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of low‑voltage hardware development including schematic, PCB layout, prototyping, and fabrication.
• Bring‑up, assembly, and debugging of custom boards for testing and validation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, reliability, software, and electrical teams on validation systems.
• Develop and test PCBAs for power, sensing, and computing subsystems.
• Participate in reviews of schematics, layouts, and BOMs.
• Support system integration and test activities including troubleshooting.
