Job summary

Amazon's Prime Air division is seeking a Prime Air Area Manager to lead daily operations at a Drone Delivery Station. You will oversee flight operations, ground handling, and fulfillment to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery performance.

You will coach associates, manage scheduling and performance, partner with HR on attendance and action plans, and drive safety and quality metrics while complying with regulations. The role may require travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of direct people management, including performance management and employee development experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can work in environments with variable temperatures and weather, including outdoor/refrigerated environments.
• Experience reviewing performance metrics to drive improvement.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long shifts, with daily physical demands.
• Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support teams across flight operations, ground handling, and fulfillment to ensure safe, efficient delivery performance.
• Drive key operational metrics including safety, quality, and delivery efficiency; monitor real-time operations and remove barriers.
• Partner with Operations Managers and cross-functional teams to execute staffing and operational plans; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and coach associates; provide clear escalation and communication during active operations.
• Directly manage a team of hourly associates, overseeing scheduling, performance management, and day-to-day coaching and development.
• Coordinate with HR on attendance, performance concerns, corrective action, and maintain staffing records.
• The role may require travel up to 25%.
