Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Ohio is seeking a Drone Operations Manager to own end-to-end drone delivery hub operations, leading the on-site commercial ops, including fulfillment, drone maintenance, and flight operations.

You will collaborate with customer-facing teams to deliver ultra-fast delivery and work with training, product, engineering, IT, facilities, finance, and HR to drive a highly efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Experience with staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, and terminations.
• Experience in a people management or leadership role which includes coaching and developing others.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions, including working outside in outdoor temperatures and refrigerated environments.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of operations
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Can travel to local sites up to 25% of the time
• Direct management experience, including leading in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or logistics environment.
• Demonstrated success analyzing performance metrics, implementing process improvements, and applying Lean methodologies.
• Ability to navigate changing priorities and utilize judgment in demanding situations.
• Ability to train as a drone operator and adhere to standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end operation at drone delivery hubs, leading the Prime Air commercial ops center.
• Manage all aspects of commercial ops, including fulfillment center, drone maintenance, and flight operations.
• Partner with customer-facing teams and technical/support functions to drive efficient operations and superior delivery experience.
