Job summary

Amazon seeks an experienced Battery/BMS engineer to support the Production and Field Operations of the Prime Air drone propulsion system. You will perform root-cause analyses, troubleshoot in lab conditions, and drive mitigations for battery design, maintenance, and charging.

You will document workflows, interfacing with supply chain and external vendors, and apply knowledge to production-level test systems for future battery solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with battery design, management, and charging.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and hardware/software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting with hardware/software interfaces.
• Root cause analysis on hardware failures in the electrical propulsion subsystem.
• Provide corrective actions and implement changes in production hardware/software.
• Dive into Battery Cells, production and charging methods.
• Collaborate with supply chain and external vendors.
