Job summary

Flytrex is seeking an Autonomous Flight Systems Field Engineer based in Pilot Point, TX. This full-time, on-site position supports the research and operational testing of drone delivery systems, requiring expertise in ArduPilot and a strong understanding of aviation regulations.

Ideal candidates will have a technical degree or equivalent experience and must be certified to operate unmanned aircraft under FAA guidelines. The role involves both field operations and engineering tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Demonstrated experience with ArduPilot and similar platforms.
• Proficiency in telemetry review and system configuration.

Responsibilities

• Configure and validate flight controllers and supporting hardware.
• Perform systems integration, including sensor calibration.
• Document flight activities and technical reports.

Skills

Hands-on experience with ArduPilot

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team

Education

Technical degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field

Equivalent hands-on experience (3+ years)
