Job summary

Kenworth Truck Company is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and development of electrical systems and architecture for heavy- and medium-duty trucks. You will interface with Product Planning, Marketing & Sales, and Management to define vehicle targets and provide engineering support across sustaining and new development programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 1–3+ years of experience is required.
• Experience with automotive wiring harnesses, automotive electronic control modules, switches, driver input devices, and HMI elements is expected.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, be a team player, and communicate effectively (written and verbal).
• Experience creating engineering documentation including drawings, diagrams and routings, and coordinating tests.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate program definition activities with PACCAR teams to deliver cost-efficient solutions.
• Integrate Engine, After Treatment, Transmissions and ABS/ESP/ACC electrical features into Kenworth/PACCAR vehicles.
• Plan and track validation testing of components and support product launches.
• Coordinate design and validation activities with suppliers and PACCAR Technical Center.
