Job summary

Stellantis Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a senior driveshaft engineer to own design and testing of driveshaft and halfshaft components, ensuring delivery against technical requirements and program milestones.

You will develop subject matter expertise, mentor junior engineers, lead supplier activities, perform DFMEA and DVP&R, and collaborate across transmission and driveline teams to resolve failures and improve robustness. Knowledge of NX/CATIA, GD&T, and change management is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of automotive engineering experience.
• Driveshaft/halfshaft/propshaft engineering experience.
• Experience with transmission/driveline/axles and vehicle architecture.
• Knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA and DVP&R processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of driveshaft and halfshaft components to meet requirements.
• Develop subject matter expertise and coach junior engineers as needed.
• Lead supplier product engineering activities and test plans.
• Prepare work plans aligned with program milestones and timing.
• Capture lessons learned and ensure DFMEA/DVP&R documentation is complete.
• Collaborate with transmission and driveline SMEs and other stakeholders to address failures.
• Deliver EBOM, models, drawings, and change-management documentation.
