Savannah Technical College is seeking a Driver's Safety Community Coordinator to assist the Director of The Coastal Georgia Center for Highway Safety in providing educational services. This position will primarily serve Chatham County and may require travel throughout the Savannah Technical College service area. The role involves working up to 29 hours per week for nine months. This position is grant-funded and contingent upon funding availability.
The Community Coordinator will integrate into the community, acting as an extension of the Director. Responsibilities include communicating with local high schools, Parent University staff, and other stakeholders, providing training, collecting survey data, and updating the Director monthly. The coordinator will also assist in training high school and police staff on driver's training simulators.
Occasional lifting or moving of light to medium objects. Work is mainly in office or classroom environments with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking. Full hand and finger motion required for data entry.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
