Savannah Technical College is seeking a Driver's Safety Community Coordinator to assist the Director of The Coastal Georgia Center for Highway Safety in providing educational services. This position will primarily serve Chatham County, but may require travel throughout the Savannah Technical College service delivery area. This role will typically work up to 29 hours per week for a period of nine (9) months. This position is grant funded, and contingent upon receipt of funding.
The Community Coordinator will embed themselves into their community, and act as an extension of the Director. They will communicate with local high schools, Parent University staff, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include providing training, collecting survey data, and providing monthly updates to the Director. The Coordinator will work with the Director to train high school and police staff on the use of driver's training simulators.
The employee may occasionally lift or move objects of light to medium weight. Work is performed mainly in an office or classroom environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking. Full hand and finger mobility is required for data entry.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
