Responsabilidades

We’re hiring CDL drivers to support Smith Propane & Oil fuel transport! Work for one of the most well-known names in Pennsylvania fuel! Looking for Class A and B drivers with CDLs and Hazmat endorsement. One-year driving experience is required.

Job details

Salary: $27 – $35 an hour
Evening and weekend shift drivers make $3 more per hour over day shift drivers.

Full Job Description

Looking to step in to the fuel industry? Do you have a Class A/B CDL with tanker and hazmat? Then look no further. Smith Propane & Oil has immediate openings for local Class A and B CDL drivers. We offer on the job training if you are unfamiliar with delivering fuel as well as a great pay and benefits package which includes a night and weekend turn differential of $3 per hour. Also we provide company uniforms to keep you looking sharp while working as well as a flexible 5-day schedule.

We are looking for individuals with Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements. Fuel hauling experience is a plus but not required as you will receive on the job and ongoing training as needed. We are looking for someone with at least a minimum of 1 year of driving experience, however, we also accept recent graduates from accredited schools. Your driving record must have no major moving violations in the last three years. Some computer skills are preferred to work the E-logs but you will also be trained how to use our system.

However, if you are looking to go to school for your CDL A or if you finished in the past year, we will reimburse you!** We can help find the right school in your area for you, and many offer compressed courses as short as one month. Smith Propane & Oil will even pay for you to get your Hazmat endorsement! That way you’re on the road faster. Many of these programs cost in excess of $4500 and we want to reimburse you for it!
We currently have positions open for our Tarentum, Windber and Latrobe locations.

The job duties you will be expected to perform will be highlighted in more detail during the interview but the short and skinny is as follows. You will be required to adhere to federal and state DOT regulations for hours of service, pre/post trip inspections, and hazmat requirements. You will be delivering gas and diesel to gas stations, trucking companies, and other various locations that Glassmere services. There is a small amount of daily paperwork you will have to complete such as pre/post trip paperwork, daily delivery sheets and delivery slips.
