Job summary

Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston, New England's premier distributor of commercial building products, seeks a Driver without a CDL to safely deliver materials to job sites and customers. This role also supports warehouse and labor tasks as needed.

Valid Class C or D license, DOT physical, clean MVR, and OSHA 10 are required for certain sites. You will load, secure, and transport materials, maintain logs, and coordinate with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Valid license (Class C or D) and ability to pass DOT physical.
• Clean driving record; annual MVR review.
• OSHA 10 certification required for some sites.
• Experience handling building materials preferred; forklift cert preferred.
• Must meet DOT and company compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles to deliver materials to job sites and customers.
• Load/unload, secure, and protect materials during transport.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain delivery logs and receipts per DOT and company rules.
• Coordinate with dispatch on schedules; no mobile phone use while driving.
• Assist warehouse operations when not driving.
• Prepare vehicles for upcoming deliveries.

Job description

Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is New England's largest one stop source and distributor of commercial building products including acoustical ceiling systems, architectural doors and hardware, drywall, steel framing, insulation, and exterior systems.

Driver without a CDL

A Driver without a CDL operates company vehicles (10,000–25,999 lbs.) to safely transport materials to and from designated locations. This role also supports warehouse and labor operations as needed, ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver materials to job sites and customer locations
• Load, unload, secure, and protect materials to prevent damage during transport
• Inspect vehicles daily (e.g., tires, lights, brakes, fluids) and report maintenance issues promptly
• Maintain required delivery documentation, logs, and receipts in compliance with DOT and company regulations
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and changes (no mobile phone use while driving)
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Assist with warehouse operations, including staging, loading, and inventory support, when not driving
• Prepare vehicles for upcoming deliveries as assigned

Qualifications

• Clean and approved driving record (subject to annual MVR review)
• Ability to meet DOT and company compliance requirements
• OSHA 10 Certification (required for certain job sites)

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50-100 pounds occasionally
• Must pass a pre-employment physical examination
• Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, and manual handling of materials

Work Environment

• Local, daytime routes (home daily)
• Typical schedule: Monday–Friday (with potential overtime during peak periods)
• Work performed in both warehouse and outdoor job site environments
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitation
• Ability to drive in varying weather conditions
