Job summary

Mattress Firm is seeking a warehouse/delivery associate in Honolulu to handle loading, unloading, and delivery coordination. You will ensure proper documentation, maintain logs, and provide excellent customer service during product installations and removals.

Applicants should have a High School diploma (or equivalent), at least 1 year of related experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years related experience preferred.
• Satisfactory driving record; valid driver's license required upon hire.
• Ability to lift or move +100 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, receive, and provide documentation for the delivery or pick up of product to ensure timely service.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo.
• Operate a truck that transports cargo to and from destinations (truck size >3 tons).
• Obtain client signatures as acknowledgment of receipt of delivered products.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring proper setup and safe removal of old products.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of product to ensure timely service.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo.
• Operate a truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations. Size of truck is more than 3 tons.
• Obtain client and customer signatures as acknowledgment of having received the delivered products.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring proper set up and removal of old products in a safe manner.
• Maintain contact with router to receive instructions about scheduled delivery or pick up.
• Follow delivery driving routes and time schedules.
• Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.
• Responsible for daily vehicle inspection reporting and routine maintenance of vehicle and all other equipment provided.
• Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
• Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
• Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
• Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.

Non-Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in warehouse duties when necessary.
• Ensure safe and timely transfer of products between store locations.
• Assist store personnel with material movement.
• Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by the supervisor.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Professional Experience

• 1+ Years related experience preferred

Compensation

Competitive pay range of $23-$24.50 hourly.*

• Actual pay is based on documented and verified relevant work experience and does not guarantee employment for any specific period. Additional bonus opportunities may be available at the Company’s discretion for eligible roles, including leadership and individual contributor positions.
