Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. in Westborough, MA is seeking a Driver for the Inpatient ATS Program. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm; Pay rate: $19.50–$21.50/hour. The role includes transporting clients to interviews and medical appointments, and performing vehicle safety checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Experience in substance use/mental health field preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, staff and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Drive agency vehicles to meet program needs.
• Transport clients to interviews, medical appointments and other program activities.
• Demonstrate respect for supervisors, co-workers and clients.
• Coordinate with Facility Coordinator regarding campus vehicle maintenance.
• Conduct daily safety checks and document before driving Campus vehicles.
• Prioritize tasks and complete duties within the allotted time.
• Respond to life safety maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow all organizational and regulatory guidelines for vehicle use and transporting clients.

The Driver is responsible for:

• Driving agency vehicles to meet program needs
• Transporting clients to assigned treatment facilities for interviews, medical appointments, and other program/client related issues
• Demonstrating respect for supervisors, co-workers, and clients
• Working with the Facility Coordinator regarding preventive maintenance for Campus vehicles
• Conducting daily safety checks and appropriate documentation before driving Campus vehicles
• Demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and complete duties in the allotted time
• Responding to all life safety maintenance issues in a timely fashion
• Following all organizational and regulatory guidelines regarding the use of agency vehicles and transporting clients

Qualifications:

• Must display the use appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies
