Job summary

Recology Western Oregon - Coast is seeking a Class A CDL driver in Warrenton, OR. The role focuses on safe vehicle operation, routine inspections, and load handling across service areas.

You will perform safety checks, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain strong customer relations while supporting the company mission to protect the environment. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of commercial driving experience; two years preferred.
• Knowledge of job site safety, hazards, and waste regulations.
• Basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current Class A CDL and medical card; comfortable driving a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily routine safety checks and pre-trip inspections on the assigned vehicle.
• Ensures safety measures are consistently applied for vehicle operation.
• Operates the vehicle in all service areas in a timely and efficient manner.
• Loads materials according to procedures and reports violations to supervisor.
• Ensures hazardous materials are not accepted when applicable.
• Maintains compliance with legal load limits.
• Reports accidents and safety violations promptly.
• Maintains good customer relations and supports positive community perception.
• Other duties as assigned.

SHIFT

Monday - Friday, 4:15am start time (usually 10-hour day)

Role

Under limited supervision, accountable for the efficient and effective operation of assigned vehicle, the consistent application of safety and operational procedures, and maintenance of good customer relations throughout all applicable service areas.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs daily routine safety checks, and pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicle.
• Ensures all safety measures appropriate for operation of assigned vehicle are consistently and efficiently applied.
• Operates vehicle in all assigned service areas in a timely and efficient manner.
• Loads all assigned materials according to normal operating procedures and reports any violations to supervisor.
• Ensures hazardous materials are not accepted, as able.
• Assures materials being transported comply within the legal load limits.
• Reports all accidents and/or safety violations to the appropriate authority and in a timely manner.
• Maintain support of good customer relations and positively influences the community's perception of the Company throughout all applicable service areas.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• One yearofcommercial drivingexperience (Two years of commercial driving experience preferred).>
• Principles and practices of job site safety, potential job hazards, and state and local regulations including applicable waste regulation.
• Basic computer programs.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current CLASS A commercial driver's license and a current valid medical card. Must be comfortable driving a manual transmission Class A vehicle.
