Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Driver Training Assistant to support onboarding and training of new drivers.

You will coordinate lodging, travel, payroll duties, and truck assignments while ensuring a smooth transition from training to on-road work. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with strong organizational and communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Facilitate orientation for students at Schneider’s Driver Training Academy.
• Keep the Operations Team informed on the progress of each student to ensure a successful handoff once training is complete.
• Keep students informed, focused and motivated.
• Assist students with personal needs and issues as they arise.
• Match students with Training Engineers to go out on the road with once onboarding is completed.
• Administer payroll to students.
• Provide other support to the Schneider Driver Training Academy as needed.
