You’ll have the opportunity to learn various roles, including Tank Exchange Driver, Material Handler, Forklift Specialist, and Driver Helper, while working towards obtaining your credentials to transition into a full-fledged Driver role. This transition requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), HAZMAT endorsement, and/or tanker endorsement, which will be provided at no cost during training.*

Responsibilities

• Attend courses required to obtain CDL license and endorsements or other required certifications from the relevant authorities.
• Operate vehicles safely, complying with all regulations and company policies.
• Use electronic hand-held computer consistently and inspect vehicles before and after trips.
• Ride along with experienced drivers to learn routes, safety, and operational procedures.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting hazardous materials.
• Maintain records according to federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Work towards meeting all DOT requirements.
• Inspect, maintain, and load tanks and cylinders, ensuring proper appearance and safety standards.
• Handle and maintain flow of materials and products safely.
• Keep the Ferrellgas office and yard professional in appearance.
• Perform duties during evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to obtain a valid Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Class B license accepted at the discretion of the Hiring Manager if operating a straight truck.
• Clean driving record.
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Ability to pass CDL exam, background checks, drug screening, and physical abilities test.
