Job summary

White Cap is the leading North American distributor for professional contractors, and we are hiring immediately for a CDL A Driver to join our logistics team in California. You’ll coordinate and deliver products to customer jobsites with a tractor-trailer, adhere to DOT regulations, and support safety and efficiency on every trip.

The role offers on-site work, competitive hourly pay ranging from 26.80 to 40.70 USD, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth within a stable company

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with at least one year of experience.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT regulations.
• Commitment to safety and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver products to customer jobsites using a tractor-trailer or straight truck.
• May unload shipments with a truck-mounted forklift when required.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate manifests and paperwork.
• Assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.

• Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites using a tractor-trailer or straight truck with a GVW over 26,000 pounds.


• May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites.


• Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong emphasis on safety.


• Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate.


• May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.


• Has a Class A CDL license with a minimum of one year of experience.


• Performs other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) certification


• Two years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred


• Forklift certification


• Spanish language proficiency
