Job summary

FirstLine Road Solutions in Bakersfield, CA is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll need to stay active, be reliable, and solve problems quickly with strong customer service skills.

You’ll communicate clearly with project managers, leads, and cross-functional teams, maintain hygiene and equipment, and adapt to varied site conditions. California-specific certifications and Hazwoper readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Hazwoper certification required with CE/continuing education.
• First Aid and equipment operation certifications preferred.
• Ability to operate hazardous environment equipment safely.
• Experience with field data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned equipment to best of abilities, knowledge, experience, and within compliance to company policies
• Maintain positive relationship with customers during assigned tasks
• Positive interactions with team members on an incident scene or task
• Proper communication with Project Managers, Leads, and cross-functional teams
• Maintain proper hygiene and appearance, clean clothes, etc.
• Assist with completion of maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned unit, including all equipment and trailers
• Ability to utilizing web and mobile applications
• All other duties assigned by Supervisor

Requirements

• Must have and maintain 40-Hr Hazwoper Cert (including Continuing Education), First Aid, Forklift, Skid Steer, ISNetWorld, FitTesting, Environmental Awareness at all times
• California-specific: Traffic Incident Management (TIM) course
