  • Familiarity with the aftermarket collision auto part industry and understanding of parts compatibility and ordering processes.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with delivery management software and systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in transportation operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of delivery drivers, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Develop and implement delivery schedules, routes, and procedures to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain records of delivery activities, including logs, mileage, fuel, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service to ensure timely order processing and delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles for safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with warehouse to ensure inventory management and loading accuracy.
  • Resolve delivery issues such as delays and complaints promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices; recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment with strong communication.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure efficient delivery of products.
  • Oversee payroll submissions, including timekeeping and PTO approvals.
  • Hold team accountable up to progressive disciplinary actions.
  • Player/Coach role with expectation to complete routes as needed.

As a Driver Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the delivery operations of our aftermarket collision auto part business. You will be responsible for supervising a team of delivery drivers, ensuring efficient and on-time deliveries, upholding best practices, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in achieving our business objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Drivers and Leads

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of delivery drivers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Develop and implement delivery schedules, routes, and procedures to optimize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of delivery activities, including driver logs, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure they are clean, properly maintained, and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory management and proper loading of delivery vehicles.
  • Resolve any delivery-related issues, such as delays, missed deliveries, and customer complaints, in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to delivery operations and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including driver licensing, vehicle registration, and insurance requirements.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong work ethic among delivery drivers.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales and warehouse, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of products.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely submission of payroll activities. Including and not limited to timekeeping, approvals of PTO, scheduling etc.
  • Can hold their team accountable up to and including issuing progressive disciplinary action.
  • Player/Coach role with an expectation to complete routes as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a delivery or logistics setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of delivery operations, including route planning, driver scheduling, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Familiarity with the aftermarket collision auto part industry and understanding of parts compatibility and ordering processes.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
