Job summary

Suncoast Beverage Sales Llc in Fort Myers, Florida seeks a Delivery Operations Supervisor to supervise, train and develop delivery drivers, swing drivers and merchandisers, ensuring efficient routes and compliance with DOT and state beverage laws.

You will lead weekly team meetings, recruit and retain staff, manage payroll records, prepare budgets, and coordinate staffing and route sequencing while maintaining product integrity.

Qualifications

  • Class A CDL license and ability to operate safely in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems for payroll, routing and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily routes and staffing for delivery and merchandising teams.
  • Train, develop and coach delivery personnel using company materials and tools.
  • Lead recruitment, retention, and morale initiatives to reduce turnover.
  • Set and monitor budgets, payroll, scheduling, and route sequencing.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings and prepare training materials.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA and state beverage laws.
  • Maintain product integrity and timely rotation in the marketplace.
  • Address customer concerns and communicate market issues to management.

OVERVIEW: Supervise, train and develop delivery drivers, swing drivers, and delivery representatives, utilizing all training materials and tools provided by Suncoast Beverage Sales. Responsible for the daily operations of a delivery area as well achieving short-term and long-term department goals.SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise and coordinate daily routes and assistance for delivery and use tools available to analyze staffing, routing, and schedules to identify gapsSupport, train, and adhere to all company standards, guidelines, policies and procedures and utilize all training materials available in effectively developing and coaching delivery/merchandising personnelAssist in recruiting and retention efforts and improving department morale to reduce turnoverProvide feedback as necessary regarding employee issues, morale, productivity, etc.Communicate to management all market issues including competitive activityMaintain package integrity and quality standards in the marketplace and ensure proper rotation of product in a timely manner.Complete all necessary administrative tasks including tracking and measuring reports, interviewing and hiring, counseling, appraisals, terminations, ride-withs, shadows, holiday staffing, vacation schedules, route sequencing, etc.Maintain and submit accurate payroll records in a timely manner, including status changes, personal days, vacation changes, attendance records, etc.Plan and conduct weekly team meetings for all team membersDevelop new training materials and training programs based on company needsAssist with the preparation and training of swing drivers for CDL licensingAddress and resolve any customer related concernsFamiliarity with labor laws and ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA and State Beverage lawsDevelop operating budgets and analyze and control expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirementsAny other tasks as requested by managementJOB REQUIREMENTS:Physical ability to complete all job tasks-repetitive lifting, bending, pulling and pushing, the ability to lift to 40 lbs. continuously, overheadWillingness to work until the entire job is completed, including working in adverse weather conditions, weekends and holidays as dictatedComplete all required training and continuing education for positionStrong managerial, communication, customer service and leadership skillsUnderstanding of and competent in computer technology necessary for the positionSelf-motivated with a strong work ethicClass A CDL LicenseAbility to always present yourself in a professional manner
