Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Driver Supervisor to lead transportation operations for a major construction project supported by an onsite portable concrete plant. You will manage a team of professional drivers and a fleet of trucks to ensure safe, reliable, and on-time deliveries.

You will collaborate with plant, production, quality, and project teams to meet customer expectations and project schedules, while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

We are seeking a Driver Supervisor to lead transportation operations for a major construction project supported by an onsite portable concrete plant. This role is responsible for managing a team of professional drivers and a fleet of trucks to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient delivery performance while meeting customer, project, and operational requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and coordinate daily driver and fleet operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries.

• Supervise, coach, and develop drivers while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service.

• Monitor fleet utilization, vehicle readiness, and transportation performance to maximize operational efficiency.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to lead transportation operations and manage driver teams in a dynamic environment.

• Strong knowledge of fleet management, dispatching, transportation logistics, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven capability to prioritize safety, manage resources effectively, and achieve performance objectives.

• Effective communication and relationship-building skills with drivers, customers, contractors, and internal partners.

• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing operational demands.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
