Job summary

McLane is seeking Shuttle Drivers to move, supply, and provide for national brands. The role offers a pay range of $65,000 to $75,000 with Day 1 benefits and a broad benefits package, including 401(k) profit sharing after 90 days.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, securing cargo, DOT-compliant logging, and potential line haul duties. Ideal candidates are 21+, hold CDL-A, and have 1+ year of tractor-trailer experience. Safety and reliability are emphasized.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure that product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May at times perform line haul and/or backhaul.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.

What you’ll do as a Shuttle Driver:

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Shuttle Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
