McLane Company, Inc is seeking a Shuttle Driver to deliver full trailers to the domicile and return empty trailers to the Distribution Center. You will inspect the rig, secure products, and maintain DOT-compliant logs.

The role requires a CDL-A and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience, with a focus on safety and reliability. Benefits begin Day 1, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus 401(k) profit sharing after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL-A license with clean MVR as per qualifications.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at work level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full trailers to the domicile and return empty trailers to the distribution center.
• Inspect rig for defects and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Ensure product is secured inside the trailer to prevent damage.
• Maintain driver logs in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Perform line haul and/or backhaul as needed.
• Work safely to prevent injuries and protect products.
• Other duties as assigned.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

What you'll do as a Shuttle Driver:

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure that product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May at times perform line haul and/or backhaul.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Shuttle Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
