Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a CDL-A Shuttle Driver to deliver full trailers to the Domicile and return empty trailers to the Distribution Center, prioritizing safety and reliability.

Compensation includes a pay range of $75,000–$80,000 per year, with a Sunday–Friday schedule and a 12:30pm–1:00pm start. Day 1 benefits, 401(k) and additional programs are offered. This role supports a broad distribution network nationwide.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL-A license (Class A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May perform line haul and/or backhaul.
• Work safely to prevent injury and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $75,000-$80,000 per year.
• Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; start time between 12:30pm-1:00pm.

What You’ll Do As a Shuttle Driver

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a Shuttle Driver Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
