Job summary

McLane is seeking a Shuttle Driver with CDL-A to join our team and transport goods safely across routes. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, secure products, and maintain DOT logs while adhering to safety standards. This role offers steady day-shift work and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid CDL-A license with clean MVR.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at a level sufficient for safety and operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the tractor and trailer for defects before and after trips.
• Secure product inside the trailer to prevent damage.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations (Manual or PeopleNet).
• May perform line haul and/or backhaul as needed.
• Work safely to protect personnel and cargo.

What you’ll do as a Shuttle Driver:

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure that product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May at times perform line haul and/or backhaul.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Shuttle Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
