Job summary

McLane is hiring a Shuttle Driver responsible for delivering full trailers to domiciles and returning empty trailers to the distribution center. The role offers a pay range of $80,000 to $85,000 per year with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 depending on experience.

You will work five days a week with Tuesdays and Saturdays off, and enjoy day-1 benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and company-paid life insurance, plus 401(k) profit sharing after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid CDL-A license required.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience.
• MVR and risk rating qualifications must be met.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May perform line haul and/or backhaul.
• Work safely to prevent injury and damage.
• Other duties as assigned.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

What You\'ll Do As a Shuttle Driver

Qualifications You\'ll Bring As a Shuttle Driver Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver\'s license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane\'s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
