Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Columbus, OH to deliver full trailers to domiciles and return empties to the Distribution Center.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely deliveries within a large nationwide network. We offer competitive pay—average $80,000 to $85,000 per year—plus day-one benefits, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, 401(k) profit sharing, and additional programs such as pet insurance and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience or 50,000 verifiable miles.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
• May perform line haul and/or backhaul as needed.
• Work safely to prevent injury and damage to products.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.
Benefits You Can Count On

• Pay Rate: Shuttle Drivers average $80,000 to $85,000 per year.
• Run 5 days per week. Off on Tuesdays & Saturdays, 10:00am start time.

What You'll Do As a Shuttle Driver

Qualifications You'll Bring As a Shuttle Driver Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
