Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Shelby Township, MI, seeks a part-time Driver/Shipping and Receiving Associate to safely transport goods to designated locations and assist in shipping/receiving at the facility.

You will follow routes, load/unload, inspect vehicles, and maintain delivery records while supporting shop staff and keeping work areas organized. Experience with GPS is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and good with directions.
• Industry experience preferred.
• Experience with overhead crane and hi-lo recommended.
• Proficiency with GPS is a plus.

Summary/Objective

The Driver/Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for safely transporting materials, products, or equipment to and from designated locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining company standards and assisting in shipping and receiving materials and finished products from the facility.

Essential Functions

• Safely operate company vehicle to transport goods or materials
• Follow assigned routes and schedules
• Load and unload items as needed
• Inspect vehicle before and after trips
• Maintain accurate delivery and mileage records
• Assists with moving, staging, and organizing materials as needed.
• Supports shop staff with general tasks and workflow requirements.
• Ensure shop equipment and work areas are clean and orderly.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks when requested.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday if needed, 40-50 hours per week. Overtime when needed
